Exam Pattern: 

Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam Exam Pattern is as follows :

Written Exam will be Multiple Choice Objective Type.

There will be a composite paper carrying 100 questions of total 100 marks.

The written test shall be available in English only.

Questions paper consists of Technical Trade Subject, General Knowledge and General English (as per 10th standard syllabus).

Exam Syllabus: 

Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam Tradesman Syllabus will be :

Technical Trade Subject [60 Marks] : Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions on the subject concerned based on the syllabus of the training for Apprenticeship and related to the trade/profession under the several posts.

General English [20 Marks]:

 Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested. Questions will be asked from error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, etc.

General Knowledge [20 Marks]: 

Questions will be asked from Indian Current Events, Banking, General Science, General Knowledge. Focus will be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture.
